Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classrooms for the upcoming school year. This role is based near Bellevue, MI, serving a respected district with a strong commitment to inclusive education.

You will be a vital presence on campus, collaborating with school staff and families to provide individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll foster a positive environment where every student’s growth is celebrated.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification required (please verify and submit screenshot upon application)
  • Experience working in high school settings and ASD or similar specialized classrooms is highly beneficial
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and adapting general curriculum to meet student goals
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and parents
  • Dedication to fostering independence, social-emotional development, and academic achievement for students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to high school students in ASD classrooms
  • Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional strategies customized to student profiles
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as required
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff, maintaining detailed records of student performance and interventions
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings as needed

This onsite-only position ensures a consistent presence for students and teams, helping build meaningful relationships and supporting optimal student outcomes. The contract runs from August 24th, 2026, through June 10th, 2027, with a full 37.5-hour workweek and multiple openings available.
