Desired Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education Teaching license (required; must be verified prior to start)
• Experience teaching or supporting students with ASD in a classroom setting
• Knowledge of evidence-based behavior management and individualized instruction strategies
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and support staff
• Ability to maintain documentation and collaborate on developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to the full length of the contract (August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional support to high school students identified with ASD, adapting content for diverse learning needs
• Develop lesson plans and activities aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Use positive reinforcement and social skills training to support behavior and engagement
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust interventions
• Maintain detailed records of attendance, progress, and interventions
• Participate in regular parent meetings, IEP reviews, and training sessions
