Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a talented Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful difference in a school-based setting. This long-term substitute contract role offers the chance to support a dynamic group of students through direct intervention and teletherapy, with the potential to continue into the next academic year. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of students
  • Designing and implementing interventions to enhance fine and gross motor skills in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conducting teletherapy sessions as needed, utilizing engaging methods to reach all students
  • Collaborating closely with educators, families, and other support staff to create a positive impact
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of student progress and session outcomes
  • Contributing to IEP meetings and supporting compliance with all relevant school and state guidelines

Qualifications and experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license with authorization to practice in Minnesota
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy and teletherapy services
  • Solid assessment, intervention, and communication skills, with specialized expertise in fine and gross motor skill development
  • A compassionate, student-centered approach to practice and professional interactions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

This contract, part-time position (24 hours per week over three days) begins August 31, 2026, and runs through November 30, 2026, with a promising possibility to extend into the full 2026/2027 academic year.
