Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience providing OT services within a school setting, particularly with K-3 students
• Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized OT goals for students with a range of fine and gross motor skill needs
• Understanding of special education processes, IEP development, and data collection
• Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services tailored to each student’s IEP and individual needs
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to improve fine and gross motor skills, functional independence, and academic participation
• Collect and track data on student progress relative to OT goals
• Prepare detailed progress reports and required documentation in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to provide classroom strategies and recommendations
• Participate in IEP meetings, presenting and interpreting OT-related data with clarity and professionalism
• Ensure all documentation and services meet special education regulatory requirements
