Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Ohio
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Compassionate and patient approach to working with children and adolescents
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and provide occupational therapy services as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Design and execute intervention plans to address fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create supportive classroom environments
- Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with school protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and recommendations for student support
- Offer training and resources to school staff and families on strategies for student success
