Occupational Therapist School Setting in Minneapolis, MN

Step into an engaging full-time opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, working with both elementary and middle school students in a vibrant school setting close to Minneapolis, MN. This contract assignment runs from September 18th through January 4th and offers a rewarding mix of collaboration and direct impact on students' success.

You’ll work closely with students, faculty, and your team while also guiding and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) across two welcoming school sites. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about school-based OT practice and eager to make a difference every day.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapy license and required state credentials for school-based practice
• Experience as a school-based OT strongly preferred
• Ability to provide mentorship and supervision to a COTA
• Flexibility to manage caseloads across middle and elementary school settings
• Solid communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Comfortable contributing to IEP processes and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students across developmental stages
• Assess students’ needs, develop individualized goals, and track progress
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and success
• Supervise COTA’s caseload, providing guidance and support as needed
• Travel between two nearby school sites as required by the assignment
• Maintain all necessary records and compliance documentation
