Occupational Therapist School Setting in Lawrence, MA
Job Description
Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through high school with occupational therapy services. This engaging position is based onsite and spans the academic year from September 2026 through mid-June 2027, offering a consistent schedule of three days per week working directly with a diverse K-12 student population.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience in a school-based OT setting highly preferred
- Skilled in evaluating students and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other related service providers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to a wide range of ages and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support student success and participation in academic activities
- Conduct assessments, develop and maintain individualized plans of care for students
- Document student progress and communicate results with educational teams and families
- Collaborate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Provide education and support to school staff on OT best practices
- Ensure all services comply with state and federal guidelines, maintaining student confidentiality
