Special Education Teacher | Great Falls, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, with Multi-categorical or required certifications
• Endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education for PreK placements
• Experience or interest in working in settings such as moderate, multi-cat self-contained, or resource/co-taught classrooms
• Flexibility to support students in elementary, middle, or high school based on preferred age group
• Commitment to onsite teaching; candidates preferring virtual/VOCO delivery may be considered closer to school start
• Passion for fostering a positive learning environment for students with diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction and supports for students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education staff to implement co-taught and resource models
• Create and adapt lesson plans to meet students’ IEP goals and learning objectives
• Foster a supportive and respectful classroom climate that values diversity
• Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring, and ongoing communication with families
