Physical Education Special Education Teacher in Burnsville, MN

Full-time, onsite position working with K-5th graders.

Key qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license or certification in Physical Education and/or Adaptive Physical Education
• Experience with special education and adaptive PE is highly valued
• Able to pass required background check and drug screening
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive and/or general physical education instruction tailored to individual and group needs
• Create, develop, and modify activities accommodating diverse student abilities
• Strive to promote physical fitness, facilitate motor development, and encourage active participation from every student
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes for each student’s growth and achievement
