ELA Teacher in Burnsville, MN

Inspire young minds as a Grades 5-8 English Language Arts teacher and make a difference each day in a supportive school environment. Desired Qualifications:

• Current teaching licensure, ideally Tier 3 or Tier 4
• Previous experience teaching English Language Arts in grades 5-8 is highly preferred
• Strong classroom management and organization skills
• Familiarity with best practices in literacy instruction and differentiated learning
• Ability to foster meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction to 5th - 8th grade students in accordance with school curriculum
• Create lesson plans that promote reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and critical thinking
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and standardized assessments
• Offer constructive feedback and maintain open communication with students and families
• Adapt teaching methods to support various learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in professional development activities
