Key Qualifications:

• Must be highly-qualified by fulfilling ONE of the following:
  • Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam).
  • At least 60 college credits with accompanying college transcripts (note that diplomas or photos of degrees are not acceptable).
• Resume and highly-qualified documentation required for consideration.
• Willingness to assist with toileting is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
• Previous experience in a special education or school-based support role is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct academic, behavioral, and personal care support to middle school students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans.
• Assist students with daily activities, including personal care tasks (e.g., toileting).
• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Participate in training and professional development as required.
