Teacher's Aide | Elk River, Minnesota

This contract role spans 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, located in a welcoming elementary school environment. The assignment begins in early September and runs through early December, with the potential for direct employment after the initial contract period.

Currently, there are three immediate openings: one focused on a center-based caseload, and two supporting resource/setting 1 & 2 classrooms. In the resource/setting positions, you'll typically assist one grade level in the morning and a different grade level in the afternoon, providing a valuable bridge for students’ educational needs. Flexibility is important, as all support staff are expected to assist with toileting and personal care as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must meet Minnesota’s highly qualified requirements by either:
  • Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
  • Holding at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
• Resume and highly qualified verification document (exam score or transcripts) must be submitted for consideration
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs preferred
• Willingness to assist with personal care and other essential support duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom assistance and individualized support to students
• Help facilitate daily routines and transitions between grade levels
• Participate in team meetings and implement instructional adaptations as directed
• Assist with student behavior management and promote a positive classroom environment

The role offers a steady weekly schedule in a supportive educational setting, with compensation at $20 per hour.
