Job Description

A unique opportunity is available for a talented Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting students’ growth and development. This is a part-time, contract-based position as a long-term substitute with the possibility of extending through the 2026/2027 academic year. You’ll play a vital role in fostering students’ independence and success by collaborating with school teams and delivering meaningful, individualized interventions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure
  • Experience working in school-based settings is strongly preferred
  • Skilled in teletherapy, as well as traditional in-person modalities
  • Proficiency with fine and gross motor skills evaluation and interventions
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable, empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to adapt to variable caseloads and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in alignment with their IEPs
  • Conduct assessments related to fine and gross motor skills
  • Develop goals and document progress for each student
  • Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to integrate OT strategies within classroom routines
  • Utilize both teletherapy and in-person service models as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education documentation requirements

This role is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week over three days. The contract starts August 31, 2026, and ends November 30, 2026, with the potential for continued service throughout the school year.
