Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, ideally in a school setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and families
  • State and/or national certification relevant to interpreting in educational environments (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, accurate, and effective ASL interpretation for students in educational settings
  • Foster accessible communication between students, educators, and peers
  • Adapt interpreting approaches to align with student needs and grade levels
  • Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment
