Key Assignment Details:
- Full-time contract through May 28, 2027
- 1:1 support at the elementary level (Chaffee Elementary)
- 40 hours per week; consistent school hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Requires unwavering daily attendance and commitment for the full assignment duration
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Valid Alabama SLI/Interpreter license or permit
- Highly regarded interpreting certification (RID, EIPA, BEI, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting as an interpreter is an asset
- Track record of 1:1 student interpreting support desirable
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to adhere to set school schedules
- Experience collaborating with educational teams and school staff is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional sign language interpreting services to one designated elementary student throughout the academic day
