Sign Language Interpreter in Cumming, GA

You'll serve a 1:1 caseload, working onsite at Alliance Academy part-time and in a floating sign language interpreter capacity for the remainder of your hours, providing valuable support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Georgia DOE SLI License (must be in hand and available to present)
• Demonstrated experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to adapt communication style based on student needs and educator guidance
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility for part-time onsite and floating assignments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time interpretation between spoken English and ASL for a 1:1 student caseload
• Foster inclusive communication in both classroom and school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure continuity of services
• Manage documentation and adhere to district and professional standards
• Respond promptly to changing schedules in a flexible, supportive manner
