Special Education Teacher in Irvine, CA

Make a significant difference by providing special education services to students in a welcoming, supportive environment near Santa Ana. Two rewarding contract positions are available for qualified Special Education Teachers to work with mild/moderate caseloads in elementary, middle, or high school settings from now through the end of the school year.

Position Details:

• Full-time hours in a school-based setting
• Immediate start with assignment lasting until end of school year
• Two distinct caseloads available:
  • Elementary/Middle School (same site): 28 students; push in and pull out services; mild/moderate needs
  • Itinerant Middle/High School (two sites within 2 miles): Up to 28 students (currently 20); push in and pull out services; mild/moderate needs
• Both roles require collaboration with school staff to implement student IEPs, monitor progress, and foster an inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Current CTC (California Teaching Credential) certification with mild/moderate authorization required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings preferred
• Comfortable providing push-in and pull-out services
• Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting students' growth

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction consistent with IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Assess student progress and document results
• Adapt lessons and strategies to meet diverse learner needs
• Support inclusion and advocate for students’ individual needs
