Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time position near National City, CA. Work within a dedicated elementary team serving a TK-2 Specialized Day Class (SDC), teaching up to 14 students in a nurturing and collaborative environment. You’ll have valuable support from two experienced paraprofessionals, ensuring a positive classroom dynamic and hands-on help each day.

You’ll join a structured program running from ASAP through June 3, 2027, providing stability and the opportunity to see your students’ progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Instruction Credential required
- Strong background in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proven experience working with early elementary students in self-contained classroom settings
- Able to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, school staff, and families
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills

- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ unique learning needs and IEP goals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with related service providers, parents, and support staff
