Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction for elementary students with mild to moderate special needs
  • Write, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with local and state guidelines
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies for maximum growth
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student success both at school and home
  • Maintain accurate records and document student achievements
