Job Description

Take on a meaningful role supporting students in a dynamic PK-3rd grade environment as a School Psychologist in a contract, full-time capacity. This position is integral to a building that houses specialized programs designed for students with significant disabilities, offering the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated professionals, including a bilingual psychologist available onsite 1-2 days per week.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification for Illinois
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
  • Experience or strong interest in working with early elementary (PK-3rd grade) populations
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices for students with significant disabilities
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, consultation, and interventions for PK-3rd grade students
  • Support the entire building while collaborating with the bilingual psychologist during their scheduled days
  • Assist with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring, especially for students in specialized programs
  • Work with educators, administrators, and families to promote positive outcomes
  • Engage in crisis response, behavior planning, and data-driven decision making
  • Contribute to professional development and support school-wide initiatives
