Key qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and School Psychologist Endorsement (pending status considered for travel professionals)
- Previous experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations within a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable participating in team meetings and leading discussions surrounding student needs
- Ability to oversee early intervention (EI) transition processes and TPBA procedures
What you'll do:
- Coordinate and lead domain meetings for Pre-K through 8th grade students
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, averaging the volume completed in prior years
- Oversee all facets of the EI transition, including overseeing TPBA processes
- Participate in MTSS referral meetings when necessary to support student evaluation and placement decisions
- Serve as a resource from the district office rather than being embedded in classroom activities, allowing you to focus on in-depth evaluation and planning for students with special needs
This role is ideal for school psychologists who appreciate autonomy, value efficiency, and enjoy contributing at the district level rather than managing ongoing day-to-day classroom incidents. District-provided CPI training isn't required due to the structure of this position.
