Make a meaningful impact supporting pre-K through 8th grade students in a contract school psychologist position located near Arlington Heights, IL. This district-based role focuses on conducting student evaluations and facilitating key processes without the daily responsibilities found in a building-based psychologist’s routine. You’ll be based at the district office and become an essential resource for evaluation and transitional planning across the district.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid or pending Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychology endorsement (open to travel candidates pending licensure)
  • Experience working with pre-K through 8th grade populations preferred
  • Solid understanding of evaluation protocols and early childhood transition processes
  • Skilled in running domain meetings and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student evaluations, focusing on an annual caseload similar to last year’s 63 evaluations
  • Lead and document domain meetings with staff and stakeholders
  • Oversee the Early Intervention (EI) transition process, including conducting TPBA (17 transitions completed last year)
  • Participate in MTSS referral meetings for individual students as needed
  • Administrative presence housed at the district office, minimizing involvement with ongoing classroom or staff needs

Position Details:

  • Contract opportunity starting as soon as possible through June 19th, 2027
  • Typical hours: 7:45 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • CPI training not required for this assignment
