Special Education Teacher in Livonia, MI

Openings are available for three specialists to serve early learning elementary, middle school, and high school classrooms. The academic year runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering you the opportunity to guide students through a full school year of development and achievement.

What We’re Seeking:

• Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (candidates must submit proof of certification).
• Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and teaching techniques to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families.
• Previous experience in early learning, middle school, or high school special education is highly valued.
• A creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching students with a variety of abilities and backgrounds.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, empowering classroom environments.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and deliver customized lesson plans aligned with individual education plans (IEPs).
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and the school team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement interventions and support services.
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic growth throughout the year.
