Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- CSI certification (required)
- Previous experience working in special education settings, preferably school-based or center-based
- Strong understanding of IEP development and individualized instruction
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction, tailored to each student’s unique learning plan
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, parents, and administration
- Employ data-driven strategies to assess and track student progress
- Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive, positive environment for learning
- Participate in professional meetings, training, and ongoing development
