This long-term contract opportunity begins in August and is anticipated to run through December, with the possibility of extending through the end of the school year in June. Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification.
- Previous experience in special education preferred, though all enthusiastic and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, individualized educational experience for each student.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and staff to support student success.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to address students’ unique learning styles.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with families and team members.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required.
