Job Description

This contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers full-time positions supporting diverse age groups: one role each in early learning/elementary, middle school, and high school settings. You’ll work closely with students, families, and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive environment and help every learner reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (please provide with your application)
- Experience working with students in a school setting, preferably in special education
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and accommodations to meet IEP goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to advocating for students’ academic and social/emotional growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs, adapting lessons to meet each student’s needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster positive relationships with students and families to promote engagement and success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation and review of educational plans
- Support classroom management and foster a safe, encouraging learning environment
