Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (please include certification upon application)
- Previous experience working in Special Education across any of the following levels: elementary, middle, or high school
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and the success of every learner
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow educators
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to unique student strengths and challenges
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth academically, socially, and emotionally
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including families and staff, to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and provide ongoing feedback and adjustment to instructional strategies
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere
