Step into an impactful leadership opportunity dedicated to supporting young learners and their families! This contract position is perfect for a Special Education professional ready to oversee early childhood programs and help shape educational outcomes for children requiring individualized support. The role runs full time, from ASAP through May 27, 2027, in a dynamic setting near Chicago, IL.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate administrative endorsements
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an early childhood classroom or program environment
  • In-depth familiarity with Illinois Early Learning Standards and ISBE guidelines
  • Demonstrated success in leadership, staff development, and effective parent communication
  • Experience facilitating Early Intervention processes and leading instructional or related service meetings

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supervise early childhood special education programs, ensuring compliance with state and district policies
  • Facilitate Early Intervention transitions by coordinating and leading meetings with excellence
  • Provide staff guidance, mentorship, and professional development
  • Maintain active and constructive communication with parents, families, and caregivers
  • Oversee the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring student needs are met
  • Support curriculum development aligned with state standards, fostering inclusive and stimulating learning environments
