Special Education Teacher | Oak Lawn, Illinois

In this role, you’ll focus on a caseload of up to 20 students, delivering high-quality special education services in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs). Working hours are conveniently set from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, allowing for work-life balance and the consistency your students depend upon.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher in Illinois
• Valid preschool endorsement required
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with special needs is highly valued
• Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and team members
• Energetic, compassionate, and dedicated to fostering a supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans targeting each student’s unique abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
