As a traveling Special Education Teacher, you will work alongside a supportive team, including a dedicated Case Manager who provides guidance and ensures compliance—helping you develop your professional skills. By teaching three inclusion classes and two resource classes, and managing a caseload of 10-15 students, you will gain invaluable classroom, collaboration, and leadership experience. Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) in Illinois
  • Experience or strong interest in inclusion and resource room instruction
  • Passion for supporting diverse learning needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Organizational skills and commitment to timely documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Teach three inclusion and two resource classes
  • Manage 10-15 student caseload with individualized support
  • Collaborate with general ed staff, families, and specialists
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance
  • Utilize two prep periods for planning and student engagement
