Job Description

Make a meaningful difference supporting students’ growth and development by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic school-based environment near Folsom, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work full-time through the full school year, focusing on serving a range of student needs from mild to severe. The role is open to both experienced Occupational Therapists and COTAs; virtual OT supervision can be provided for COTAs, although all direct services must be delivered in-person.

What we’re looking for:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • School-based experience required for COTAs
  • Ability to work with students with a variety of needs, from mild to severe
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations within the district
  • Virtual services are not permitted—all interventions take place in person
  • Commitment to working full-time throughout the full school year

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and specialized staff
  • Assess and document each student’s progress and needs
  • Develop individualized intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to educational staff
  • Maintain compliance with district and state requirements
