Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and develop individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ needs related to fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within the academic environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions, both direct and consultative
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Maintain timely and accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation for student files and IEP meetings
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student programming
- Provide training and resources on occupational therapy to school staff as needed
