Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current California licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ needs related to fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within the academic environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions, both direct and consultative
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
  • Maintain timely and accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation for student files and IEP meetings
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student programming
  • Provide training and resources on occupational therapy to school staff as needed
