Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sunnyvale, CA

This part-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11th, working directly onsite with a dedicated team of educators and specialists.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with students, families, and school staff to devise and implement therapy plans that foster participation, independence, and overall success in the educational environment. The ideal candidate possesses a genuine passion for pediatric therapy with a strong background supporting children with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California or eligibility under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
• Minimum of two years of clinical pediatric experience, with a strong emphasis on developmental disabilities
• Prior experience providing occupational therapy services within a school or educational setting
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Commitment to onsite service delivery (no remote or hybrid options available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ needs using evidence-based practices and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions, monitor progress, and document outcomes
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families, integrating therapy goals into classroom activities
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to assessment and planning
• Advocate for student access and accommodations within the school environment
