This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated occupational therapy professional seeking a part-time, contract role supporting students in a school-based setting near Oregon, OH. If you're a COTA, supervision can be provided, making this a versatile opportunity for both OTs and COTAs. For those interested in expanding hours, an additional 16-hour-per-week opening is available in nearby Toledo — these can be combined for a more robust schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience within a school environment is highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy services to school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Monitor progress, document intervention outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide training and consultation to faculty and caregivers as appropriate
- Uphold compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and ethical standards
