Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sarasota, FL

There are two immediate, full-time positions available:

• Position 1: Provide coverage for a leave from August 25th to October 4th, assisting elementary-aged students in their daily routines and contributing to a positive start to the school year.
• Position 2: Engage in a longer-term assignment from September 1, 2026, through the end of the school year, serving students in North County Schools and providing consistent, ongoing support through the academic calendar.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with a valid Florida state credential, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
• Ability to develop creative interventions tailored to IEP goals and individual student needs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to determine their needs within an educational setting.
• Design and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings.
• Provide regular progress reports and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in developing classroom strategies that support student participation and success.
