Occupational Therapist School Setting in Folsom, CA

This contract opportunity offers a full-time, full school year schedule, working closely with students from mild to severe needs. The position is itinerant, giving you the chance to provide direct in-person services across different sites near the Folsom, CA area.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who are experienced in a school-based setting are welcome to apply, with the added benefit of virtual OT supervision provided. Direct services must be delivered in person, ensuring meaningful interaction and hands-on support for students. Please note, this opportunity is not open to virtual-only (Voco) candidates.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in California
• Prior experience in a K-12 school-based setting is required for COTAs
• Comfortable working with students with a range of needs, from mild to severe
• Ability to adapt to an itinerant (traveling) role between sites
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both staff and students
• Must be able to provide all direct services in person

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services tailored to each student’s IEP
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student success
• Participate in assessments and help develop IEP goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking
• Engage in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary support network
