Job Description
Discover an exciting contract opportunity for skilled Occupational Therapists to support K-12 students in schools near Tacoma, WA. This onsite position allows you to make a meaningful impact, collaborating directly with educators and students to foster growth, independence, and success throughout the school day.
Multiple Occupational Therapist roles are available, creating a supportive environment for professional collaboration and mentorship. You’ll work with a diverse caseload of students, offering creative, evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's unique needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Washington state
- Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings—school-based experience preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, goal development, and progress monitoring for K-12 students
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate services and maintain documentation
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for students across grade levels
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to help students access the curriculum and enhance daily functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate a variety of learning styles and challenges
