Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapy professional supporting students with a range of mild to severe needs in the school setting. This full-time, full school year position is designed for dedicated OTs and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who are passionate about fostering student growth and independence. The role is itinerant, offering the chance to positively impact students across multiple sites near Auburn, CA.

For COTAs, virtual OT supervision will be provided, but applicants must have a strong background in school-based services, as all direct service delivery is required to be in-person. The position does not involve teletherapy or virtual-only roles.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Previous experience within a school-based setting, particularly for COTAs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and caregivers
  • Experience working with students with a wide range of needs, from mild to severe
  • Flexibility to travel between school sites as an itinerant provider
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions and assessments to students
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Document treatment plans, progress, and session notes in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Communicate student progress and recommendations with teachers, administrators, and family members
  • Travel to various sites within the designated area to deliver on-site services
