A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide direct services in schools near Auburn, CA. This is a full-time, full school year position within an itinerant model, offering the chance to work with students exhibiting mild to severe needs across various campuses.

Occupational Therapists and COTAs are welcome to apply. For COTAs, ongoing virtual OT supervision will be provided. Please note that all direct therapy services must be delivered in-person, and candidates must have hands-on school-based experience. Virtual-only (Voco) candidates will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist or COTA (with school-based experience)
  • Proven proficiency working in schools or with pediatric populations
  • Ability to travel between school sites within the area (itinerant role)
  • Comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Skilled in supporting students with a wide range of needs, from mild to severe
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based occupational therapy sessions to students
  • Collaborate on IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Document interventions, maintain records, and communicate student progress to relevant stakeholders
  • Adapt strategies to meet both individual and group needs within the school environment
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
