Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN

This contract opportunity seeks six dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide services in a Setting 4 program for elementary through high school students. Setting 4 classrooms are designed for students with the most significant behavioral and academic challenges. Your expertise will help guide learners on their path to success as you join a supportive interdisciplinary team committed to transforming lives.

Key Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities and challenging behaviors strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction and de-escalate situations using trauma-informed practices
• Collaborative mindset for working closely with school staff, therapists, and families
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be available for the full contract period (8/25/2026 – 6/10/2027), Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned to IEP goals in a self-contained setting
• Develop and implement positive behavioral interventions to foster a safe, structured learning environment
• Collect data on student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with specialists and paraprofessionals to meet diverse student needs
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to support student growth
