Qualifications & Experience:

• EIPA score of 4.0 (including written) and registration on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Interpreter Registry - Dept. of Health) required
• Alternatively, current RID or NIC credentials will be accepted, provided the written exam is also completed
• Experience interpreting for high school-aged students is preferred
• Ability to handle a flexible caseload; school assignments will be determined based on district needs
• Must successfully complete fingerprinting and drug screening according to district and agency protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver sign language interpretation in classroom settings and during school-related activities for high school students
• Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Collaborate with special education teams and partake in student planning as needed
• Adapt services to accommodate individualized education plans (IEPs)
