Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 4.0 (must include written), and listed on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Interpreter Registry - Dept. of Health)
  • Alternatively, possession of RID or NIC credentials plus the written
  • Experience interpreting in a high school setting preferred
  • Ability to complete all time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprints and drug screening

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for high school students in alignment with their IEPs
  • Maintain professionalism across all assigned school sites (exact locations and caseload to be determined)
  • Foster effective, inclusive communication between students, educators, and staff
  • Adhere to school district policies and participate in relevant team meetings
