Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacist is needed to support warehouse operations in a contract position lasting six months. The role involves ensuring the efficient and compliant handling of medications within a logistical setting. This position requires availability Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Location: Cicero, IL
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    Contract Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty drugs.
  • Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and reduce waste or expired products.
  • Ensure storage conditions meet USP standards and state/federal regulations.
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians engaged in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
  • Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to support patient medication orders.
  • Review controlled substance inventories and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to guarantee timely medication delivery.
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems for tracking medications and supplies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license required.
  • Experience or knowledge of IV medication preferred.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and inventory management in pharmacy settings.
