This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role within an inpatient hospital environment in Chicago, IL. The position involves rotating between first and second shifts over a 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension. The shifts are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM, including rotating weekends. The hospital utilizes the Cerner computer system, and experience with this platform is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient clinical pharmacy services with a focus on safe and effective medication use.
  • Participate in medication therapy management and clinical interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Manage dispensing and distribution of medications accurately within the hospital setting.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Illinois pharmacy license required.
  • Strong inpatient clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Cerner computer systems is beneficial.
  • Licensed PharmD with experience in hospital and inpatient pharmaceutical care.
