Staff Pharmacist - Cicero, IL

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role in an inpatient hospital setting, offering a 13-week contract with a potential extension. The position requires working rotating first and second shifts, including weekends, providing dynamic and varied daily experiences.

Location: Cicero, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating first shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Rotating second shift: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Utilize the Cerner computer system for medication order processing and documentation.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois pharmacy license required.
• Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system is a plus.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends efficiently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
