Staff Pharmacist in Chicago, IL

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Staff Pharmacist seeking a contract role in a dynamic inpatient hospital environment. Over the course of 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional pharmacy services, ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients.

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating first and second shifts
• First shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Second shift: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications and provide expertise in clinical pharmacy practices to support inpatient care
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy systems to manage medication orders, documentation, and patient information accurately
• Participate in the rotation of shifts and weekends to maintain continuous pharmacy coverage

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Illinois pharmacy license
• Demonstrated strong inpatient clinical experience preferred
• Experience working with Cerner pharmacy systems is an advantage
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital setting and work collaboratively with medical teams
