Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a center-based Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) program as a dedicated Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract position is located near Hopkins, MN and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of children who rely on compassionate, skilled educators to help them reach their potential.

In this onsite role, you will join a collaborative school environment committed to inclusive education and positive behavior support. Your expertise will contribute to designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), working closely with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team to address a diverse range of behavioral and academic needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License required
  • Experience or enthusiasm for working with Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) students
  • Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate with support staff and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
  • Commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and behavioral support services to EBD students in a center-based setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with students’ unique needs
  • Track student progress and adapt strategies to foster growth and independence
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, staff development, and ongoing training sessions
  • Maintain accurate records, provide progress updates, and ensure compliance with special education policies
