Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the current school year, focusing on supporting middle school students in grades 6 through 8. This full-time role plays a crucial part in serving a diverse caseload of 35-70 students, primarily handling re-evaluations. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to promote positive educational outcomes and uphold the well-being of every student you serve.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed or certified School Psychologist, meeting state requirements
  • Prior experience or internship in a school setting, ideally middle or secondary level
  • Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and re-evaluations
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education eligibility
  • Effective communication and consultation skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage and organize workload independently in a busy school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct re-evaluations for middle school students, interpreting assessment data and updating educational plans as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and multidisciplinary teams to identify student needs and consult on interventions
  • Contribute expertise during eligibility meetings and support the creation of appropriate educational recommendations
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to timelines set by district and state guidelines
  • Engage with families, providing clear explanations of findings and offering support resources where appropriate
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards and participate in ongoing professional development
