In this contract role, you will play a key part in addressing the mental health and educational needs of diverse student populations, while working collaboratively with educators, families, and the community. Options for coverage include working with students at middle school or elementary levels, with assignments tailored to meet district needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
  • Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
  • Previous school-based experience required
  • Proficiency in cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive assessments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in crisis situations and manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Competence in working with culturally and educationally diverse populations
  • Familiarity with professional technology tools and documentation practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct group and individual counseling for special education students per IEP goals
  • Develop and implement interventions addressing academic and social/emotional/behavioral needs
  • Conduct and document suicide risk assessments, assist with threat assessments, safety plans, and crisis response
  • Complete psychoeducational and functional behavioral assessments, interpret data, write reports, and help craft IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, service providers, and administrators
  • Participate in team meetings, MTSS, professional development, and learning communities
  • Offer psychoeducation and consultation for staff, students, and families; connect students with community resources as needed
