Make a meaningful impact during the 26/27 school year by supporting students’ communication growth in a vibrant therapeutic day school setting near Aurora, IL. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and thrives on individualized student engagement. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, dedicating 37 hours per week to helping learners unlock their potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) through ISBE for schools
- SLP-CCC certification
- Experience with school-aged children in a therapy or educational setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in a therapeutic day school setting
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate therapy records and generate progress reports
- Partner with educators and families to facilitate carryover of communication strategies
- Participate in school meetings and support a positive, inclusive learning environment
